DnRatings Lens Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 4, 2026
This page describes what the DnRatings Lens extension for Chrome, Brave and Edge does with data. Questions: [email protected].
Summary
- The extension only runs on listing pages of
expireddomains.netandnamejet.com. It does not read any other site you visit. - It sends the domain names on that page and the public columns next to them (backlinks, archive birth year, domain pop) to DnRatings (
https://dnratings.com, or the Target URL you set) to get a valuation for each one. - Your API key, Target URL and Min Budget are stored in
chrome.storage.local. The API key is sent only to the Target URL, in thex-api-keyheader of those valuation requests. - No tracking, no analytics, no ads. No browsing history is collected, transmitted or sold.
What data the extension touches
- Domain names visible on the current listing page: sent to the DnRatings API (
/api/v1/bulk-score) to produce a valuation and score per row. - Public listing columns (backlinks, archive birth year, domain pop) when the page shows them: sent to the DnRatings API as extra signals for the valuation.
- Your DnRatings API key: kept in
chrome.storage.localand sent in the request header to the Target URL, to count requests against your account's quota. - Target URL (default
https://dnratings.com) and Min Budget: kept inchrome.storage.local. - Valuation results per domain: kept in
chrome.storage.session(in memory, at most 6 hours) so reloading a page does not spend quota again.
The extension needs a DnRatings Pro or Enterprise plan. Requests count against your account's API quota and are handled under the DnRatings privacy policy.
What the extension does not do
- It does not read pages on any site other than the two above.
- It does not navigate, click or submit anything on those sites. It only adds a column to the table you are already looking at.
- It does not include third-party analytics, ad SDKs or fingerprinting.
- It does not contain affiliate or referral links. The menu links to Namecheap, DropCatch and NameJet are plain links; DnRatings is not affiliated with those sites or with expireddomains.net.
Data retention
- The result cache in
chrome.storage.sessionexpires after 6 hours and is cleared when the browser closes. - Settings stay in
chrome.storage.localuntil you clear them in the popup or uninstall the extension.
Your choices
- See or change what is stored: open the extension popup.
- Erase it: clear the fields and click Save, or remove the extension; the browser then deletes all of its storage.
- Revoke the API key at any time in the developer settings.
Children's privacy
The extension is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information.
