FAQ
Domain valuation, answered
Short answers about how DnRatings prices domain names, what it costs and how to use it.
How much is my domain name worth?
Enter it on DnRatings to get a low, mid and high estimate with a confidence score, a buyer-demand score and, on paid plans, comparable sales. The estimate comes from a model trained on real aftermarket sales; a domain is ultimately worth what a buyer pays.
Is the domain appraisal free?
Yes. A free account includes 5 valuations a day, and new accounts get 7 days of Pro free. No card is needed.
How accurate are DnRatings valuations?
Each estimate is a range calibrated on sales the model never saw, with a confidence score, so you can see how sure it is. Short, clean .com names are estimated more tightly than long or unusual names. It is a data-driven estimate, not a guaranteed price.
What is buyer demand?
The chance a name gets at least one bid if it goes to an expired-domain auction, from a model trained on real GoDaddy auction results. Most expired names get no bid at all (under 1%), so DnRatings shows the chance next to that average.
How is DnRatings different from GoDaddy Appraisal or Estibot?
DnRatings shows a calibrated value range with a confidence score instead of a single number, adds a buyer-demand score from real auction outcomes, and is trained to price low-value names low instead of inflating them. It also includes bulk valuation, an API and a browser extension.
Can I value many domains at once?
Yes. Bulk valuation takes a list: up to 50 domains per run on Pro and 500 on Enterprise. Every plan can also create an API key for the REST API, with a monthly call limit that grows with the plan.
How much does DnRatings cost?
Free is $0 with 5 valuations a day. Pro is $9/month ($90/year) with 200 valuations a day. Enterprise is $29/month ($290/year) with unlimited valuations. Plans are one-off PayPal payments and never renew automatically.
Which extensions does it support?
Any domain can be valued. The model has the most sales data for .com, then .net, .org, .io, .ai, .co and other popular extensions.
Does DnRatings check trademarks?
Valuations flag names that look like known brands, and Pro includes a trademark check. Always check trademarks yourself before buying a name.
